TS12 Quilt-Along: Evermore Plaid Block #6

Everything will fall into place like dominos - as long as your seam allowance is consistent. In my original of the evermore block sample, I needed to expand my strip set pieces because I came up half an inch short -but only on one side. I've never claimed to be a precision quilter but it was meant to be a square and I couldn't understand why it became a rectangle! Until I flipped it over and noticed the skew, half my strip square pieces were 1/4 " short. I increased the width of my set and tried again. It completely misaligned the grid, I made another tweak. Long story short, I sur-vi-i-ived.

Make sure you keep your 1/4" seam allowance consistent on this block to avoid the fate. Once you make your rust and ochre strip set, press it and trim it to 1.5" for more accurate piecing.

my samples are a little wonky but the pattern has been updated to accommodate the changes!

P.S we're at the halfway point!

Thanks for tuning in!
