TS12 Quilt-along: TTPD Black Dog Free Quilt Block #3

Thanks for joining me for Week 3 of the Taylor Swift Quilt along! Today, we are embracing our inner tortured poet and visiting the Black Dog. I thought this would make a stark appliqué block. This gritty heartfelt album has a lot of candidates and runner-ups but once I found this Old School library card fabric, I knew it had to be used. Did you spot it in my Mirrorball video?

I dabble in all forms of quilting but tell me the truth, does appliqué scare you off? I think (used sparingly) it enables you to make such unique images that just wouldn't happen with FPP or traditional strip piecing. I hope it doesn't have you going down with it, a white-knuckled dying grip. Join me next week and I promise to put the colour back into your face.
