TS12 Quilt-Along: Fearless and TLOAS Block 10 and 11

A double feature today! Last week we got our first snow here in Toronto and I celebrated by fully hibernating! The TS12 quilt is nearly finished. Next week we have Speak Now and piecing together the quilt top. I plan to share the process all the way to binding, providing some quilting suggestions/inspirations.

This week both blocks are raw edge applique. The Cheer cone calls back to the high school fantasy of Fearless and the visuals of You Belong with Me. Use embroidery thread to embellish with the classic TSwift "13".

Our other block is a Lock and Key for the Life of a Showgirl. The lyrics of a few different tracks make reference to being locked away or having the keys. I admitted a few weeks ago that this album wasn't meant for me so coming up with a block was a little difficult. I haven't listened to it much but the Key imagery really stood out to me.
